[Giving Tues] Support Cultures of Wise Innovation š
Help us integrate the journey to date
Fellow travelers,
Today we want to share an opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards evolving innovation education and culture ā fully aware of the many individuals and organizations you are connected to who may be in greater need or are addressing more immediate and dire challenges (please support those too!).
We are writing to ask for your support for our fiscally-sponsored non-profit, School of Wise Innovation, so we can do our part more beautifully and effectively in changing how founders and changemakers enact vision. Work that we feel is extremely important, yet receives virtually no financial support.
We could tell you here all about our impact to date and strategy for 2026 (and weāre happy to give you a little taste in this high level deck, Harvest Day recap at 4:10:00, and at the bottom of this email).
But the truth is, we are not fully clear on the next best steps. And after two years of fairly consistent action since incubating out of Center for Humane Technology, weāre sensing itās time to slow down and process all that has happened. Not race to run back the cultivators bigger and better. Not try to fill the calendar energizing the countless other juicy initiatives in our garden of visions.
ā> Our honest need is for a āWinter of Integrationā ā the crucial step that is often skipped.
We intend to practice what we preach these next few months by investing in the activities that will:
š Regenerating Ourselves | Decelerate, rest, solitude, nature, clear minds, loved ones. Spending time with our tools like Sara Wolcottās Circular Time and at our places like Belinda Liuās Hestia retreat center (check out their winter incubator!).
š Harvesting the Lessons | Thereās such wealth of memetic insight waiting to be metabolized and shared outwards, from both the content in our programing (recordings available!), and the process of building a vocationally-oriented wisdom school over the last two years. We already have a Story Harvest on the calendar.
š§ Wayfinding | Connecting with the amazing teachers in our orbit for guidance, and going inside ourselves to sense into the next phase of the school.
š± Tending Relationships | Continue weaving with folks in this community and beyond, with a focus on those who have been consistently showing up.
š³ļø Nothing | What happens when donāt do any of these thing? What can arise in the emptiness?
If we want the broader culture to value these things, then we need to flex into valuing them ourselvesā¦
These practices are rarely prioritized in project plans or budgets, so they simply donāt get done. Lessons donāt get learned, foolish decisions get made, energy gets focused in the wrong places in the wrong ways at the wrong timeā¦
Sound familiar? Silly? Expensive?
We believe we can meaningfully integrate the last two years with a modest $9,000 (half of which has just been committed by one of our generous donors!), in service of powerfully stepping into the next chapter. Weāll do our best to share what we do and how we do it ā perhaps thereby developing a template for others to follow suit ā so we can take step towards normalizing integration in startup culture.
Your donation, no matter how small (crypto welcomed!) will directly support us in integrating the journey to date, clarifying the path forward, and growing our capacity for helping others with wise vision enactment.
Inspired by what and how we do things around here? Want to vote for visionary cultural solutions? Feeling abundant or funny about gains from the Magnificat 7?
You can also upgrade your Substack subscription plan, with paid tiers including discounts and priority access to upcoming offerings, and even an annual 1:1 Vision Enactment Support call.
If you are interested in making a donation and want to learn more, feel free schedule a call here. Weād love to hear your ideas and explore ways we can work together. Introductions are greatly appreciated too.
With big gratitude,
School of Wise Innovation team
